Webster - 5 Things Associated With Tutoring

I have a deep passion for helping others, so the essence of tutoring appeals to me by doing just that. My responsibilities entail assisting tutees to put forth their best effort and strive for their personal best. Five things that I associate with tutoring are:
  1. Punctuality/Preparedness.
  2. Enthusiasm/Optimism.
  3. Good Listening Skills.
  4. Patience.
  5. Confidentiality/Trust.

  1. Great choice on your 5 items to associate with tutoring. I especially like the enthusiasm aspect. In my opinion the tutee already has a "bad taste" for the subject since they struggle with it so being enthusiastic about it might rub off.

    1. I agree completely because a positive attitude generally does have a way of rubbing off on a "Negative Nancy" so to speak.

  3. I think that your five items are important for both the tutee and the tutor. For tutoring to be successful, both parties should be held accountable. By attaining these skills one is also preparing for life after college, and for being successful in other aspects of college life.
