REZA- 5 Things Associted with Tutoring

Being a tutor in my opinion is being there to help a student help themselves. I think a tutor is a person who should guide and encourage their tutee in the right direction to succeed; it does not mean doing their work for them. I also think it is important for the tutor to be empathetic to the student's situation and never judge them for what they do not know. Being a tutor is teaching your tutee how to learn better study habits and better time management to help them succeed.

  1. I agree and just had a situation this AM where I needed to help my tutue not for what she came for but in time management. This particular tutee was here for math but during our scheduled time she discovered she had been dropped from another class. She understands the math and I am more so somebody to just assure her she is getting it. So what I did do during this session was talk about what was holding her behind with her other classes and how she could utilize this time better. I found the professors office for her and we walked over there to see if he was available. He was due to come in within the hour. I gave her an option and we discussed what she could do with it, whether she follows through is in her hands now. We can give them the tools they need, what they do with it is up to them.
